NOTICE: FEMA, in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission, will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System and Wireless (Cell Phone) Emergency Alerts today, October 4, at 2:20pm.
The EAS message will state the following: "This is a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System, issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, covering the United States from 2:20pm-2:40pm ET. This is only a test. No action is required by the public."
