Niles Dial-A-Ride Transportation (DART) offers a connection to South Bend! Riders can use the Niles DART deviated fixed route (known as Route 2) to travel to Rick's Phillips 66 on Auten Road at SR 933. Niles area public transit riders have been asking for this type of service for years, and DART is pleased to be able to offer it. It is no secret that many Niles area residents utilize medical, educational, retail and special event destinations in South Bend. Now it will be possible for residents to realize the benefits of the services available there, without having to rely on a personal automobile. In addition, South Bend area residents will have the opportunity to access popular destinations and employment opportunities in Niles.
Service between South Bend and Niles will be offered by Niles DART between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm weekdays only. DART buses will be at Auten Rd. at 10:30 am, 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm. From Auten Road, riders can connect to Transpo's Route 5, and then travel almost anywhere within South Bend using the fixed route system offered by Transpo.
