We Do What We Do
There are a total of seven departments operating under the Department of Public Works, making for a widely diversified arm of city government. Things can go wrong almost every day, our citizens want action, and we’re here to help, but sometimes a call to the wrong department delays the response. With seven departments the Department of Public Works handles a wide variety of requests or complaints each and every day.  The following summarized listing may help our citizens understand what we do and, ultimately, what we don’t do:

Develop and maintain airport layout plan; secure federal and state grants, working with MI Bureau of Aeronautics and FAA;

Administer Michigan Department of Transportation maintenance contract;
