Jerry Tyler Memorial Airport

Jerry Tyler Memorial Airport is a general utility airport, owned and operated by the City of Niles. The airport serves general aviation needs in the Michiana area.  Situated on the northeast side of the city at 2018 Lake St., the airport features a NW/SE 4,100 foot paved runway (15/33) and a NE/SW 3,300 paved runway (4/22). Approximately 35 aircraft are based at the airport.

The airport provides both corporate and recreational flyers with a conveniently located facility, offering an alternative to the more congested South Bend Regional Airport nearby.  Hangar rentals and ground and tie-down leases are available for both private and corporate aircraft.
The City of Niles serves as the fixed base operator and rents facilities at the airport to provide general aviation fuel and jet fuel. Space is available to build your own private hanger using our inexpensive ground leases.  Joe Ray, the City's Public Works Director, also serves as the Michigan state-licensed Airport Manager.

Questions regarding airport operations should be directed to Joe Ray at 269-683-4700 Ext. 3060.
